First Southern Bank has named two key executives including Michael C Samuel and Andrew Hebert as senior vice president/commercial lender to its offices in the Central Florida region, US.
The lender said that Samuel will be based in the bank's Downtown Orlando office and Hebert in the Lake Mary office.
Both key functionaries will manage a diverse portfolio of First Southern Bank's commercial assets, commercial real estate lending and focus on generating new business and developing relationships with Orlando area companies and their principals.
First Southern Bank president and CEO Lynne Wines said, "Both Michael and Andrew will be valuable assets to First Southern's team by generating new business and offering strategic financial solutions designed to meet all of our clients' lending needs."
Prior to this, Michael Samuel worked as vice president and acquired asset manager for BB&T Bank in Orlando, where he oversaw nationally syndicated loans with individual notes in excess of $150m, while managing a portfolio of Central Florida's largest commercial clients.
Prior to BB&T Bank, he was a svp/market manager and commercial team leader at BankAtlantic in Orlando.
Andrew Hebert served as vice president/principal relationship manager at Wells Fargo Bank in Orlando where he was responsible for acquiring, managing and growing profitable account relationships with commercial accounts with annual gross sales of $2m to $50m.
Before this, he served as vice president/business services officer at BB&T in Orlando (formerly Colonial Bank).
