Eurocom Racer 2.0 laptop receives Ivy Bridge, offers Radeon HD 7970M graphics

Eurocom calls its Racer 2.0 a small form factor mobile workstation -- by which it means it's a rather sizable laptop, but with plenty of power and decent aesthetics. Known for designing its rigs to be upgradable, the Racer 2.0 is such a recipient, which now offers the Intel HM77 Express chipset and support for both Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge CPUs. It offers a 15.6-inch, 1080p display (in both glossy and matte configurations), which is powered by a 1.5GB GeForce GTX 660M GPU as the basic option. Those desiring even more oomph may opt for the 2GB Radeon HD 7970M, and even those in need of true workstation graphics may select from a lineup of NVIDIA's Quadro GPUs. The four SO-DIMM slots will accommodate up to 32GB of RAM, and it'll even accept two hard drives (in addition to an mSATA SSD), so long as you're willing to fill the optical drive's slot. Naturally, all the upgrades can make the price soar in a hurry, but the base configuration starts at reasonably palatable $1283. Ready to be sold a new laptop? You'll find the PR after the break.

New Finds At TNW Shows Europe Is Nailing It

European startup conference The Next Web (and now competing blog, hello guys), which took place in Amsterdam last week, was covered in full by seven TNW bloggers who wrote over 30 posts about all major announcements, speeches and competitions. More posts are coming according to its European editor and ex-TechCruncher Robin Wauters, but in the meantime here is our TechCrunchy take on the conference. I will start off by naming a few startups I thought had interesting concepts or products, even though they did not quite make it to the list of the winners, or did not participate at the competition altogether. So that's an issue for the organisers to address next year. I will then follow up with a list of the hottest companies in tech according to Robert Scoble, and inevitably list the winners of the TNW Startup Rally.

Inventive scribbler Steve King -- no, not that one -- is working his fingers raw trying to raise $25,000 on Kickstarter. His project, the colorfully-named Hand Stylus, works with all your capacitive touchscreens, sports a retractable nib that rotates to avoid uneven wear, and even sticks to the magnet on an iPad. While it can't replace the need for natural digits, it could potentially come in handy while taking notes, sketching, cooking, or experiencing frostbite. Usher 'Needed A Boss,' Rick Ross, For 'Lemme See'

On his latest single, "Lemme See," Usher is doing what he does best: imagining all the ways he wants to get it on with his lady.

Usher's bravado is out in full with him singing, "She says she wanna take her skirt off/Be my guest/I decided to take my shirt off/And show my chest/And we been sipping on that merlot/So you know what's next." And, as if we didn't know what was next, he adds, "Working intermissions, switching positions/We so expensive, oh."

If fans think it couldn't get any hotter on the Jim Jonsin and Mr. Morris-produced track, Usher invited his pal and Hottest MC Rick Ross to heat things up even more.

"Well, me and Rick Ross had been talking about working together solo," he told MTV News about the song. "We had actually done something before with 'So Sick and Tired' with DJ Khaled, but this was one of those ones it needed a boss on it."

From there, Ursher hit the studio with the MC and came up with a sensual track about the art of seducing. He added, "Ricky Rozay came through and put that thing down. It was good."

Usher previewed Looking For Myself, which drops June 12, during a one-night performance as the lead in the off-Broadway show "Fuerza Bruta." The album's second single, "Scream," dropped last week.

"This album has many different views and many different perspectives," Usher said of how the songs he's released so far reflect the album. "Whereas the first song was a little bit more artistic and a little bit more soulful, and it has done everything, it probably exceeded my expectations, I mean, from the moment I was able to give it away. I was able to kind of be reintroduced in a way musically, and thank you to [producer] Diplo, but 'Scream' is really like the next step. It's just in time for summer and the type of experience that I want people to get out of the album."
